Ross

Ross M (July 15)

Ross was a charmingly awkward kid. He was always really nice to me and when my high school youth group became a nightmare because of Eric (see first post), he was the one guy I could still hang out with because he wasn't in my old chapter, and he was one of the few who didn't seem to care that I had switched into his chapter after being booted from another.

I went to a big event as a member of Chapel, having been kicked out of Woodcrest. I saw Eric there and tried to speak to him. Literally, I just asked him if I could talk to him. He became furious and yelled at me.

"I came here to chaperone an event, NOT to be HARRASSED by you!"

I didn't try to talk to him again. I had recently learned a really neat trick. If you held your breath and huddled on the ground and then quickly stood up and had somebody press on your chest, you would pass out. I asked Ross to do it to me, we were in the bathroom. I told him to catch me if I fell. We did the thing, I passed out but my eyes didn't close. He thought I was awake and I went crashing to the floor, cracking my head on the tile.

When I came to I was in the office of the JCC with the heads of the group. My dad came and I was taken to the hospital. As I left, I saw Eric gloating at me. Ross made up some lie to get out of trouble, I never blamed him.
